What Is an Organic Mattress?

Why settle for “natural” when you can get certified organic?

Organic mattresses are made from mother nature as opposed to a chemical plant. The raw materials include organic cotton grown from a plant, wool shredded from sheep, and organic rubber tapped from trees grown in the tropics. Our mattresses are alive and breathing and are not filled with plastic, hot off-gassing formaldehyde, volatile organic compounds, or toxic chemical flame retardants such as Chlorinated Tris. Chlorinated Tris has been banned in children’s sleep wear for over 30 years because it is a neurotoxin, hormone disruptor and known carcinogen. Still, it is the leading flame retardant on the market today.

Did you know your skin is the largest breathing organ in your body? Your skin and lungs absorb everything, including the toxic chemicals in mattresses, even long after you can no longer smell it. As the foam breaks down, so do the chemicals that are released in the form of toxic dust.

Think you have allergies? Maybe you're just allergic to your mattress.

Our mattresses are naturally anti-microbial and anti-bacterial, and bed bugs won’t live in them. They are dust mite, staphylococcus, and e-coli resistant.

Our mattress are comprised of GOTS-certified organic cotton, eco-wool batting, quilted/knit/durable organic canvas casings and certified organic latex.
